Noon by Noor S/S 2018 – Review

INSPIRED BY: Bahrain and the red and white colors of designers’ Shaikha Noor Rashid Al Khalifa and Shaikha Haya Mohamed Al Khalifa’s home country’s flag. Also key was a focus on creating androgynous looks that walked the line between feminine getups and menswear-influenced separates.
POP-CULTURE NOD: Jennifer Lopez in head-to-toe red, posing outside the Ed Sullivan Theater prior to her guest appearance on the ‘Late Show With David Letterman’ in New York to promote her new book, ‘True Love’.
WEAR IT TO: A July 4th barbecue, held poolside on the rooftop of your friend’s flashy new high-rise in Williamsburg, paired with “something blue” as a requisite patriotic accessory.
FIRST READ: Glamorous caftans, feminine shift dresses, strapless pleated tops and lacy gowns kept in check with the designers’ focus on ladylike silhouettes, while comfy knits, tailored shorts and cheeky crop tops added a youthful vibe to the mostly monochrome collection.
BEST LOOK: A white V-neck full-length shift dress with billowy sleeves and a red-and-black ladybug print, worn with red slides.
