Yeohlee F/W 2018 – Review

INSPIRED BY: The idea of ninjas, samurais and mistresses, with a focus on minimal waste.
POP-CULTURE NOD: Meryl Streep on the press junket ahead of the release of The Handmaid’s Tale season two.
WEAR IT TO: Your first day as draping understudy while filling in for the Construction Techniques lead professor at the Fashion Institute of Technology.
FIRST READ: Masculine silhouettes and smart tailoring in silk, denim and felt played to the show’s Tokyo streetwear vibe, while the peppering of a black-and-white tie-dye effect print and a focus on layered reflected Yeohlee Teng’s intelligent approach to design.
BEST LOOK: A black silk dress featuring a knotted accent at the front and billowy sleeves.
EYE-CATCHING ACCENTS: A pajama-style look featuring a polka dot top with kimono-inspired front ties, teamed with matching trousers and styled with a mustard and petrol jacket.
OVERHEARD COURTSIDE: “This collection feels very Opening Ceremony on vacation in the Cotswolds.”
COLOR WHEEL: Khaki, slate, mustard, green, black, slate, camel, khaki.
