Marina Moscone NYFW F/W19 – Review
INSPIRED BY: The idea of storytelling through clothing, a nod which was amplified by the show’s surrounds: the Rare Book Room at the iconic Strand on Broadway.
POP-CULTURE NOD: Neve Campbell on a Halloween date night at Flatiron’s ABC Cocina with beau JJ Field.
WEAR IT TO: Condense your world to a five-minute novella at The Moth’s open-mic StorySLAM competition at The Bell House in Brooklyn.
FIRST READ: Lacy silk slips paired with boots and styled with furry floor-length coats gave the polished collection a grungy, ‘90s aesthetic, while tuxedo suiting and strapless cocktail tops added an eveningwear vibe to the mix.
BEST LOOK: A rust silk dress styled with a matching fur coat, rain boots and a plush forest green clutch.
EYE-CATCHING ACCENTS: Pendant chokers and oversized fur clutches spoke to the show’s 1990’s retro vibe, while chunky boots paired with ladylike getups appeared perfect for Kate Moss on a winter weekend escape to the Cotswolds.
OVERHEARD COURTSIDE: “I’m totally hosting my first book launch here – this space feels so expensive.”
COLOR WHEEL: Cream, black, brown, gray, mustard, rust, ivory, red, khaki, green.
