Zadig & Voltaire NYFW F/W19 – Review

INSPIRED BY: The connection between street style and the way athletes dress off-duty. Designer Cecilia Bönström stayed true to the brand’s Parisian rock-chic aesthetic while injecting a dose of stateside cool to the mix in the form of sporting motifs and nods to iconic U.S. teams.
POP-CULTURE NOD: Kendall Jenner bonding with Ben Simmons’ mom courtside at a Philadelphia 76ers game, before braving the elements post-game and heading for cocktails at buzzy athlete hotspot Parc on Rittenhouse Square.
WEAR IT TO: Day one of your new VP gig at artist management agency Paradigm Talent in Beverly Hills, then catch a gig at the Viper Room after work.
FIRST READ: Oversized fur coats styled over matching sweats, double-denim looks teamed with Western cowboy boots, and Lurex sweaters with velvet bow ties played to the laid-back, relaxed feel to the collection. A range of tailored blazers and sheer tops stayed within the Zadig wheelhouse, while a floor-length cocktail gown covered in crystal embellishments with a thigh-high front slit elevated things to after-dark territory.
BEST LOOK: A t-shirt featuring a Chicago Bulls logo, styled under a checked blazer with a structured coat thrown over the shoulders, teamed with matching pants, white sneakers and a slouchy beanie.
EYE-CATCHING ACCENTS: Beaded embellishments on wool-knit beanies, leopard prints on mid-size clutches, and glittering sheer tanks that screamed to be worn by Miley Cyrus for her next cameo on SNL.
