TOP INSTA LOOK: Exploding curls and bright red lips screamed vampy Pussycat Dolls on tour, while thigh-high snakeskin boots proved the perfect accessory for J-Lo’s Vegas residency to strut about stage while belting out a derivative rendition of ‘Love Don’t Cost a Thing’ (because let’s face it, we all know it’s an expensive purchase).
BEHIND THE SCENES: Chatter in the audience about the odds of seeing the designer’s former stint at Willow influence the current Kitx collection ahead of its fashion week debut.
OFF PROBATION: Keeping things simple yet elegant was an ivory V-neck silk flowing shirt rolled up at the sleeves, paired with a matching layered skirt and snakeskin over-the-knee boots, styled with a gold cuff, big hair and Bond girl lips, perfect for the working happy hour meeting in Darlinghurst.
GOOD BEHAVIOUR BOND: A strapless olive green knee-length flowing dress, worn over matching trousers and teamed with a gold arm cuff and choker, creating a wearable, breezy look sure to place you in good stead for Friday night cocktails at Sydney’s Ivy Pool Bar while mingling among the finance boys downing Patron like it’s water. Also key was a layered charcoal trench with folding fabric tied at the middle, worn over matching pants and styled with slicked-back hair.
INSPIRED BY: The natural, untamed landscape of the jungle, ruled by an environmentally-focused former Bond girl. Harmony, opposition and the celebration of contrasts. Think the sort of look Penelope Cruz might go for when filming a short film for the Conservation International campaign. Either that or J-Lo’s key looks while pounding the pavement on the press circuit at Planet Hollywood.
POP CULTURE-NOD: Born from kindness, integrity and transparency, Kitx conjures up imagery of the sophisticated environmentalist not willing to throw away her razor in order to help sustain the planet’s resources. Think Elle Macpherson enjoying a yacht ride with Princess Olympia of Greece in the Bahamas just hours after making a moving speech about sustainability in New York.
WEAR IT TO: The MTV Movie Awards fresh off a messy breakup with an older star of the silver screen, complete with your emerging talent new beau on your arm, where you’re intent on channeling your inner Kim Kardashian Dutch courage as you effortlessly dodge questions from the press about your former flame’s infidelity.
OVERHEARD COURTSIDE: “How many times have you been photographed outside today?” – in reference to one’s overt efforts to gain maximum coverage twirling about outside Carriageworks in the street style pit.

THE DOCKET: Designer Kit Willow Podgornik, of the former local brand, Willow, delivered a glimpse of her new sustainable label Kitx – already a favorite among the Oxford Street fash pack, with a series of slinky slips, versatile trenches and bombshell bias-cut dresses that are sure to have you turning heads on the craps table at The Wynne Hotel Las Vegas – your shoulders shimmering from your honeydew tan as your winnings sprout dollar signs. Either that, or you’ll be looking as damn fine as the product of an Ellen Show Midwest makeover.
