BEHIND THE SCENES: Hair and makeup influenced by the concept of Jackie O on a luxurious vacation aboard a yacht off the island of Capri. MAC Cosmetics’ Polly Osmond created bright dashes of aquamarine, complementing beach-inspired textured waves and turquoise nails with black-and-white diagonal graphic prints.
OFF PROBATION: A full-skirted turquoise silk trench gown oozed cocktail party overstated glam, while a one-shouldered tomato red full jumpsuit, worn with an oversized floppy hat with white trim and matching red heels, paid homage to the sort of safari getup one might don when joining their nature-loving beau on a luxe birdwatching tour of Africa’s Mabamba Bay.

INSPIRED BY: The Italian luxury vacation destination Capri, and the sort of suitcase one might pack when paying homage to the late Jackie Kennedy, with looks catered to strolling the island’s narrow streets to sipping an aperitivo while seated in Capri’s world-famous square, complete with incognito oversized shades and all.
POP CULTURE-NOD: Beyonce, husband Jay Z and daughter Blue Ivy spending the summer cruising the Mediterranean aboard a private luxury yacht, chronicling their journey via Instagram as they make their way from the shores of Spain to Italy, making leisurely pit stops in Stromboli, the coastal Neopolitan town of Massa Lubrense, and finally the isle of Capri, where they’re snapped leaving through the back door of celebrity hotspot Aurora.
WEAR IT TO: A summer Sunday at La Fontelina beach club at the end of Via Tragara, where you’ve booked a VIP table pasta and seafood light lunch before rubbing shoulders with vacationing celebrities among the overtanned bodies lining the rocky shore on blue-and-white striped towels by the brilliant blue Mediterranean Sea, within stone-skipping range of the dramatic Faraglioni outcrops and the infamous Blue Grotto.
