The only thing missing from Acne creative director Jonny Johansson’s offering for spring was a bikini-clad Ursula Andress gliding out of the surf onto a sugar-white beach to close the lineup of glamorous Bond Girl-inspired looks, fit for the modern heroine.

Luxury was key in the designer’s latest collection, which paid homage to the sort of getup one might don while perched on Jamaica’s idyllic northern shores while sipping a Mai Tai with your beau.

Millennials’ obsession with forking out cash for luxury goods was the official playbook for Acne’s Paris show – which is sure to have the latest Bond femme fatale dressed for every occasion – from the boardroom to the Blackjack table at Casino Royale to morning pampering at the Fairmont Monte Carlo.

Plunging necklines dazzled on smartly tailored sleeveless vests and dresses, while unbuttoned blouses paired with flared trousers gave the show a sexy ‘70s vibe.

Plenty of skin shone through sweaters with cut outs on the front and back, teamed with khaki short shorts – fit for the urban safari.

Standouts included a floaty one-shouldered knee-length cocktail dress in neon yellow and fuchsia, while the designer catered for the morning ‘after-the-after-party’ through a terry cloth strapless tucked-in towel dress which played up to the former uniform of rich kids everywhere – Juicy Couture matching sweats.

Adding a playful vibe to the sex-fuelled mix were flirty prints on dresses, pants and shirts, created in collaboration with artist Raquel Dias.

Tubes of lipstick, fruit and vegetables and flowers adorned a suite of looks among the otherwise mostly muted color palette, with retro aviator glasses and oversized gold ID necklaces worn by the models giving the show a dose of hipster cred.

While you may not rate the likelihood of witnessing Daniel Craig emerging from the sea à la Casino Royale anytime soon, Acne’s latest lineup will have you’re your vintage Louis Vuitton baggage so stuffed that  there won’t be room for a travelling companion – James Bond or otherwise – on your next Caribbean vacay.
