Adam Lippes NYFW S/S19 – Review

INSPIRED BY: Designer Adam Lippes  trip to Tangier in Morocco over the summer, in addition to a festival in Guatemala.
POP-CULTURE NOD: Editor-at-large Anna dello Russo celebrating her retirement from the street-style scene after auctioning off her archive of luxury clothing with a one-way first-class ticket around the world.
WEAR IT TO: The opening night gala of Samson et Dahila at the Metropolitan Opera at the Lincoln Center.
FIRST READ: Leopard print coats and ball skirts, an oversized pink frock with back detail, wide-leg silk pants and a black lace baby-doll dress rounded out the polished, ladylike lineup, which had a grown-up editorial feel capable of being taken from day to night with the addition of a handful of accessories.
BEST LOOK: A tiered coat covered in reworked prints of a photo taken by the designer of flower stalls in Morocco, paired with matching over-the-knee boots.
EYE-CATCHING ACCENTS: Over-the-knee boots as part of a collaboration with Manolo Blahnik.
