TOP INSTA LOOK: A billowy strappy white angelic gown, perfect for avoiding red wine sangria at your next hipster picnic on Central Park’s Great Lawn.

BEHIND THE SCENES: The designers barking orders to models mid-final walkthrough after the show’s scheduled start time while attendees chain-smoked patiently outside. Vigilant posers used the opportunity to stage impromptu photo opps against the barbed-wire fences flanking the adjacent train line.

OFF PROBATION: A sheer embellished feathered dressed styled over a white bandeau and cheeky panties, given a rock chick edge via a pair of chunky Blundstone boots, worn throughout as a nod to the designers’ Queensland inspiration.

GOOD BEHAVIOUR BOND: A series of ripped tees in black and white (think Alexander Wang, not Kanye). Denim and palm frond prints marched in step with the show’s Australian laid-back vibe.

INSPIRED BY: The reformed heroin addict trust-fund 20-something intent on looking expensively tradie chic, symbolic of the show’s ‘cultural wasteland’ vibe. Looks resembled that of a hipster grappling with the recent decease of several of her vagabond “roamer” friends, which has propelled her into the Bondi underground rave scene while working at a summer-long pop-up boutique in Darlinghurst.

POP CULTURE NOD: Kate Moss’s younger niece currently locking lips in a toxic love affair with an Australian soap actor.

WEAR IT TO: The next Mister Saturday Sunday block party in Williamsburg (and your job interview for intern stylist on Skype) the next day. Equally as suited to a Lower East Side gallery opening by teaming grungier pieces with a glitzy concertina skirt, while the spate of Houghton-esque floaty white summer dresses could easily serve as the main event at your Lake Como nuptials, absent the presence of any red wine.

OVERHEARD COURTSIDE: “Are you on your way to the show or to get your car?” – After one confused show attendee wondered why the event was taking place on the edge of the venue’s car park by the train tracks.

SPOTTED: Samantha Ward, Jessica Hart, Jess Stein, Carmen Hamilton, Jessie Bush.

COLOR WHEEL: Gritty dark green, grey and black, spliced with looks in overall white and featuring a number of sparkly pieces certain to magnify the sex appeal on a hot and sultry summer night.

BEATS: Banging rave beats complimented the strobe display which pierced through the warehouse smoke haze during the finale walk.

THE DOCKET: Reminiscent of a raging drum and bass party – reserved solely for the pretty people – Aje’s dynamic latest offering will be sure to form the wardrobe of any hipster doing the running man come summer. Think the kind of getup a trio of wealthy 22-year olds might choose to wear to look “a little bit poorer” at the opening of their parent-funded designer boutique on Orchard Street, before landing a deal to star in a reality TV show about it. Oh wait – #gallerygirls.
