INSPIRED BY: Freedom fighters and the 90’s groupie-grunge lifestyle. Wang got his dollar’s worth by carting his 32 models around Manhattan in a convoy of Dodge Ram trucks, before setting up shop streetside in Brooklyn.
POP-CULTURE NOD: Australian model Abbey Lee rocking out to Jay Z at the Meadows Music Festival in Citi Field.
WEAR IT TO: The first rave of the summer season – Diplo at converted warehouse hipster hotspot Output in Williamsburg.
FIRST READ: Key looks included a deconstructed tank dress with stud detail, and Joan Smalls in a black twist-front evening dress with high slit and zip hardware, worn over a distressed slouch jean with side zipper detailing. After the show, Wang treated guests to donut towers, cocktail juice pouches, an igloo ice bar, NARS makeup stations and a bouncing castle. All-American Dominos ended the night of fashion feasting.
