INSPIRED BY: The 1955 musical comedy, Kismet, designer Anna Sui created her own bazaar in the center of the runway, through which models browsed the trinkets and antiques before the show. It was a clever way to showcase her current fall collection’s accessories in a behind-the-scenes way.
POP-CULTURE NOD: Alexa Chung browsing the maze of markets in Marrakesh’s Medina ahead of party girl Poppy Delevingne’s wedding celebration at the lavish La Mamounia hotel.
WEAR IT TO: Watch Hailey Baldwin and Justin Bieber tie the knot on Waikiki beach in Honolulu.
FIRST READ: Sui’s latest lineup had a distinct 90’s vibe – think floppy bucket hats, fanny packs, pulled-up socks worn with sandals and floral prints galore. Also key were sheer dresses styled with iridescent jackets, safari separates, and tribal prints, given a luxe upgrade via leather fringing and beaded accessories.
BEST LOOK: A green Hawaiian print jumpsuit, teamed with a matching crossbody satchel, lurex socks, sandals, and a bucket hat.
