Anna Sui S/S 2018 – Review

INSPIRED BY: Literary darlings, the Brontë Sisters, and the idea of Summer of Love, sparked by a trip to the “Counter-Couture” exhibition at the Museum of Arts and Design in New York. Sui also referenced her retrospective at London’s Fashion and Textile Museum earlier this year.
POP-CULTURE NOD: The Brady Bunch meets That 70’s Show, if either series had a Mila Kunis-fashionista type.
WEAR IT TO: Have your fortune read in a hippy tent between sets in the forest at Woodstock.
FIRST READ: Flower power and vintage styling with a hint of rock-star edge. Sui provided a mash-up of her signature boho looks and concert-ready ensembles, while psychedelic motifs and astrology prints elevated loose-fitting, layering pieces to nighttime glam.
BEST LOOK: A Victorian-sleeved jacket worn over an Indie tee, paired with 90’s tie-dyed denim cutoffs, knee-high boots and a Rastafarian woven satchel.
