Assembly New York F/W 2018 – Review

INSPIRED BY: The concept of nostalgia and a throwback to the 1980’s.
POP-CULTURE NOD: The daytime wardrobe of a former East-London club kid forced to get a day job after his glow-stick business venture flopped.
WEAR IT TO: Après on the sun-soaked terrace of the W Hotel’s Off Piste ski bar in the Swiss resort of Verbier.
FIRST READ: Neon, oversized ski parkas, corduroy wide-leg pants, fur jackets and suede blazers rounded out the menswear-inspired athletic collection, while neon safety-style glasses added a workwear vibe to the mix.
BEST LOOK: An emerald fur coat, worn with camel trousers and brown boots.
EYE-CATCHING ACCENTS: Ribbon detailing, corduroy and tweed  separates rounded out the bookish mix, while Chinese Lucky Feng Shui pendants added an oriental flair to the lineup.
OVERHEARD COURTSIDE: “I could see this on a long weekend at Scribner’s in the Catskills come October.”
