INSPIRED BY: Alice in Wonderland and a reflection on design duo Mark Badgley and James Mischka’s 30 years in the industry.
POP-CULTURE NOD: Carrie Underwood making a cameo appearance as Sleeping Beauty at the Oscars. Think the sort of getup guests would wear to the Candy Crush IPO closing dinner.
WEAR IT TO: Your Disney-obsessed friend’s Frozen-themed wedding, where guests have been asked to dress as if they were Elsa’s besties.
FIRST READ: The design team marked the milestone by delivered a range of tiered column dresses, crisp pantsuits and cocktail gowns in florals and a pastel palette, featuring detailed embroidery, silk screen prints and ostrich feather accents. The brand also debuted a mommy-and-me collection in similar styles, adding a family vibe to the already-intimate affair.
BEST LOOK: An apricot strappy mini dress covered in 3D silk roses in ballet slipper and blush with crystal detailing, worn with matching miniature silk rose earrings and grass-colored strappy heels.
EYE-CATCHING ACCENTS: Gallery 1 at Spring Studios was transformed into a Parisian café – with guests seated around bistro tables in jewel tones that resembled the teacups ride at Disneyland.
