BCBG Max Azria F/W 2018 – Review
INSPIRED BY:Â The notion of “rough glamour” and the idea of pairing masculine outerwear with feminine dresses.
POP-CULTURE NOD:Â Australian bohemian label Zimmerman’s grown-up older sister with a scheduled summer in Montauk.
WEAR IT TO: Rub shoulders with the glitterati at the infamous Jeremy Scott after party in Coachella.Â
FIRST READ:Â Tiered ruffle dresses, futuristic silver coats, and deconstructed maxi dresses stayed in tune with the show’s relaxed boho vibe, while structured plaid blazers and slouchy knits added to the leisurewear mix.
BEST LOOK:Â AÂ strappy black chiffon maxi dress with silver bead detailing. Also key was a strapless tomato ruffled chiffon ball gown, worn with black heels.
EYE-CATCHING ACCENTS: Beading embellishments added flair to the neutral palette, while casual suiting catered to the brand’s corporate devotees. Tousled waves channeled the show’s casual, on-vacation vibe.
OVERHEARD COURTSIDE:Â “Are you doing weekend one or two of Coachella this year? I need to find accommodation to crash.”
COLOR WHEEL:Â Peach, blush, black, coral, gold, navy, apricot, camel, silver.
