Betsey Johnson’s latest collection was as if commissioned by the cast of the Rich Kids of Beverly Hills ahead of their #throwbackthursday Romy and Michelle-themed high school prom bash, complete with enough white to ensure the obligatory red wine-throwing brawl will deliver a fine viewing boost for Bravo.

Inspired by the revelation that the wedding industry is like taking candy from a Bridezilla baby, Johnson offered up a delectable mix of tiered cupcake dresses, flirty ruffled bridesmaid numbers, racy lingerie and even a cocktail waitress white collared leotard number – because you never know who you’ll meet and marry on a hotel stay in Vegas.

For the unlucky-in-love femme fatale going through a messy divorce there was an outfit perfect for a lazy afternoon on the steps of City Hall while offering free advice to the string of couples en route to getting hitched – a yellow crop top with the word ‘Prenup’ embellished on it with a matching chain letter necklace and smart black purse, big enough to haul your legal documents uptown.

Also keeping with the anti-marriage sentiment was a white feathery showgirl-inspired two piece with enough flesh to ensure you’ll be fending off the gents in dire need of a saucy fling.

A standout was a metallic light blue strapless bridesmaid dress with layering and an oversized rose attached, topped off with a kitsch two-tier wedding cake with figurine Mr and Mrs.

Mixing things up were the string of Johnson’s celebrity friends who walked the show, including RuPaul’s Drag Race’s William Belli, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Camille Grammer and in-demand SoulCycle instructor Stacy Griffith.

Should Pamela Anderson – who changes her marriage status to husband Rick Salomon more times than she alters her cup size – decide to take a walk down the aisle she would likely feel at home in a sexy power puff pink teddy number, also teamed with a ‘Prenup’ letter necklace and furry pink bag.

The show stopping piece was a metallic silver halter neck tiered cupcake wedding dress, complete with a matching sparkly bouquet, while a more conventional yet just as eye-catching gown was a strapless poofy white dress covered in voluminous ruffles.

Taking a departure from the show’s kitsch, ‘80s-inspired theme was a pretty sheer polka-dot shirtdress in lavender chiffon with matching lilac bra and demure ankle-strap heels.

Also fit for the Soho hipster looking for a polished bridal day look with an added dose of ‘this could be featured in Vogue’ edge was a strapless sheer floor-length gown with cheeky cutaway holes at the side and giant bow on the back, paired perfectly with a statement necklace and oversized white hair bow.

While Romy and Michelle found themselves in trouble after lying to former peers about their lives after college, the cast of Rich Kids’ are likely to find themselves in an equally unfavorable predicament for being too honest bragging about theirs.
