INSPIRED BY: Celebrating his 10th anniversary of the brand, designer Bibhu Mohapatra made a subtle reference to a recent jaunt to the 19th-century historical gardens of Mount Stewart in Northern Ireland.
POP-CULTURE NOD: Priyanka Chopra celebrating ride-or-die buddy Meghan Markle renewing her vows via a repeat of her recent fairytale wedding to Prince Harry at Windsor Castle.
WEAR IT TO: Celebratory cocktails with your beau at the gold-brocaded hideaway, Manhattan Cricket Club, to toast your maiden invite to the upcoming Oscars in L.A.
FIRST READ: Mohapatra stayed true to his penchant for delivering red-carpet gowns with a fashion-forward edge: think strapless frocks with a balloon chartreuse full skirt, black bodcon gowns peppered with electric blue and black feather detail, ladylike patterned coats styled with oversized bow neckties, and princess tulle gowns with magenta trimming.
BEST LOOK: A teal silk midi dress with balloon sleeves, paired with a grey and navy fur stole, long black gloves and matching heels.
EYE-CATCHING ACCENTS: Dainty wristlet leather gloves added a touch of Royal class to the polished and ladylike collection, while the use of feathers, embellished accents and clever use of proportions and draping added a signature spunk to looks that screamed to be worn by Hollywood’s new class.
