Boss NYFW F/W19 – Review
INSPIRED BY: The New York art scene, namely those who curate them and the hipsters that gallery hop around West Chelsea on a Thursday evening. Chief brand officer Ingo Wilts cited the desire to create a sense of soft elegance in classic suiting as key behind the latest collection.
POP-CULTURE NOD: Emma Roberts hosting a private cocktail event in the Rare Book Room at The Strand on Broadway.
WEAR IT TO: The first day christening your corner office as the newest VP at advertising powerhouse, Saatchi & Saatchi.
FIRST READ: Elegant corporate dressing capable of taking you from the boardroom to happy hour: think white woolen coats teamed with taupe knee-high boots and a multi-material chunky stole, knitted turtleneck dresses, and tailored suits in French Riviera-friendly hues. Cotton-candy colored separates added a dose of downtown cool to the mix, while relaxed tailoring provided a refresh on nine-to-five staples.
BEST LOOK: A taupe midi pea coat worn over a nude turtleneck and teamed with camel relaxed-fit pants.
EYE-CATCHING ACCENTS: Thigh-high leather boots in rich earthy tones, furry bags and envelope clutches carried throughout, and fur stoles adding a dose of sophistication to monochrome ensembles.
SPOTTED IN THE FROW: Richard Madden, Caroline Daur, Tessa Hilton, Barron Hilton, Xenia Adonts, Johannes Huebl, Vanessa Kirby, Shanina Shaik, Devon Windsor, Maluma, Carlo Sestini, Jasmine Sanders, Cindy Bruna, Dylan Sprouse, Barbara Palvin, Cam Newton, Victor Cruz, Charlott Cordes, Mark Langer, Julia Stegner, Theodora Richards, Maya Stepper, Kara Del Toro, Evangelie Smyrniotaki, Austin Mahone, Jack Gilinsky, Jack Johnson.
