90 WYTHE AVE
BROOKLYN NY 11249-1923
Kinfolk – The Lowdown
While there’s no shortage of coffee shops populated by millennial hipsters and their Apple products in Brooklyn, 94 Wythe Avenue has taken the concept into overdrive. Part bike shop and café during the day, the space morphs into a Japanese bar and entertainment hidden hot spot by night. Formed in 2008 by friends from New York, Los Angeles and Tokyo out of a desire to curate a range of eclectic products and experiences with a focus on community, the location marks the brand’s third multidisciplinary space – they have another down the road and one in Japan. With its wooden igloo-style interior and cozy hangout hubs, Kinfolk – which is also available for private event hire – will have you feeling like your’e on an upstate glamping adventure with ten of your closest friends, complete with your own personal bartender.
