INSPIRED BY: Stephen Spielberg’s 1975 epic Jaws, and angsty college flick, The Graduate. Designer Raf Simons opened the celebrity-packed show with a clip of Chrissie Watkins becoming the shark’s first victim in the aforementioned blockbuster, before trotting out a collection that paid overt homage to the two influential films.
POP-CULTURE NOD: Zac Efron taking a quick break from training to get some sun in Miami while chiseling his physique ahead of filming Baywatch 2.
WEAR IT TO: Consider getting your Bronze Medallion while ogling the surf life savers of Bondi Beach from the comfort of your inflatable flamingo.
FIRST READ: Simons featured Jaws movie poster prints on tanks and t-shirts, mixed among scuba and swimwear looks with a peeled-back effect. Chunky knits and dresses in a floral print added a ladylike element to the edgy lineup, while mortarboard caps teamed with blazers and coats played to the show’s youthful vibe.
BEST LOOK: A menswear maroon blazer, worn over a Jaws/CK-logoed tank and styled with a high-waisted slate concertina midi skirt with tassel detail and a graduation cap.
