INSPIRED BY: Designer Christian Cowan did his part to celebrate the return of New York, dedicating his latest collection to the city’s infamous nightlife scene and the raunchy excess of downtown in the 90’s.
POP-CULTURE NOD: Kaia Gerber stepping out with boyfriend Jacob Elordi at The Bowery Hotel before heading to the SNL after party at Tavern on the Green.
WEAR IT TO: 3AM happy hour under the disco ball downstairs in the basement of Kind Regards in the Lower East Side.
FIRST READ: Cowan delivered his signature mix of club kid getups and deconstructed suiting with a vampy edge, sure to be a hit among his devoted clientele. Think a plaid blazer dress with oversized feathered sleeves, lurex mini dresses in a racing check print, voluminous ball skirts in a Tetris-inspired pattern, and black bodycon gowns with plunging necklines.
BEST LOOK: A lilac blazer with balloon sleeves, styled with a matching mini skirt with ostrich feather detail and white lace-up heels.
