Christian Siriano used this season’s fashion week to show the world that he has graduated from Project Runway to Project World Domination.

Drawing inspiration from the diffusion of light and reflective transparency of Australian glass sculptor Sergio Redegalli’s work, Siriano delivered a soft and ethereal collection of cocktail dresses and beaded gowns sure to be on the wish list of every Upper West Side debutante this prom season.

The models glided down the runway in a floaty mix of icy artic blues and sea foam greens in fabrics featuring laser cut patterns and intricate crystal embroidery.

A standout look took a literal approach to Siriano’s inspiration muse – a cheeky transparent sheer crystal beaded blouse teamed with matching beaded trousers.

The procession kicked off with a stream of white ensembles, with a focus on light, clean and crisp zen-like looks such as a striped organza sleeveless handkerchief overlay dress and lattice draped oversized coats.

Chunky sweater knits, full raffia skirts and wide-leg cropped trousers showcased the designer’s focus on textures and silhouettes – perfect for the elegant, feminine corporate fashionista.

The array of simple elegant separates for day morphed into a stunning offering of lustrous, long dresses for evening, featuring a drop waist two-tone ball gown and brocade crystal beaded strapless cocktail dresses in a mesmerizing sea of sea-foam green and midnight, icy arctic blues.

A crowd favorite included an aqua dress composed of diaphanous diagonal rufflus, while the designer flexed his penchant for dramatic eveningwear with a jacquard-dot gown with a oversized flounce framing in the skirt.

A string of separates laced with spiky crystals added a dose of sex appeal to the mix, which is sure to be on the radar of every celebrity stylist this awards season.

Instagram is sure to have ‘liked’ Siriano’s offering for spring as show attendees sparked a hashtag meltdown in an attempt to snap a money shot of the frow’s glitterati, which included Coco Rocha, Willow Shields and Mena Suvari.

In the words of Ms Azalea, Siriano’s collection for spring ’15 was definitely #fancy.
