INSPIRED BY: The lost art of handwritten love letters, Cinq a Sept served up a series of delicate, ladylike looks fit for the eternal garden party.
POP-CULTURE NOD: Meg Ryan mulling over the books over a gin and tonic after hours while periodically checking for any new messages from a secret admirer in You’ve Got Mail. 
WEAR IT TO: A night of art, music and dancing at the annual Spring Garden Party at The Frick.
FIRST READ: Crushed velvet suiting, biker leather jackets with fur detailing worn over floaty tulle dresses, and chunky knits worn over nighttime sequins.
BEST LOOK: A plush velvet suit in cranberry, worn over a black silk shirt with a white text print.
EYE-CATCHING ACCENTS: Models carrying ribbons attached to a giant maypole in the middle of the hotel’s feted Cotillion Room, where guests nibbled on afternoon tea as the designer’s ode to romance played out.
