TOP INSTA LOOK: The affordable label upped the ante with a flapper-style dress in nude silk with tiered fringing and a thigh-high split, sure to improve your bargaining power after a slew of poor hands at blackjack on the high-roller table at the Star.

BEHIND THE SCENES: Nervous anticipation in the crowd ahead of the brand’s first solo Australia Fashion Week debut. Already front and center of many a fashionistas summer wardrobe, the label’s latest wearable collection is sure to walk out the door before you’ve received next season’s wedding schedule.

OFF PROBATION: A strapless concertina floaty midi frock with geometric swirls in blush, slate, grey, brown and white, perfect for a Gatsby-themed garden party or the spring wardrobe of a Sydney-born fashion editor living in the West Village.

GOOD BEHAVIOUR BOND:  A sunburnt rust matching pantsuit in the label’s signature classic tailoring, with wide-leg trousers with black snap-lock side buttons. Voluminous trenches presented the ultimate solution to pesky spring showers while a strappy white silk singlet with blush panels, worn with pants of the same hue comprised a look of the sort J-Lo might rock while pounding the pavement ahead of the launch of her new crime T.V. show.

INSPIRED BY: The indispensable hospitality of the Great Gatsby Jazz Age and the extravagant festivities of an era in which hardly anybody worried about money. Charm, notoriety and good manners were key in a collection which is sure to have you invited to the hottest tickets of the season, bespoke cocktail list and jazz orchestra included.

POP CULTURE-NOD: The sort of get-up Jennifer Hawkins might wear to cocktail hour at The Edition Miami Hotel’s Matador Room, before heading downstairs to the basement bowling alley for a quick round of ten pin, followed by a cheeky stint on the ice-skating rink and then dancing into the wee hours, flexing your recently acquired swing chops.

WEAR IT TO: The summer’s first installment of the 11th Annual Governors Island Jazz Age Lawn Party in all its Roaring ‘20s glory, featuring music, dancing, vaudeville and cars of the decade taking the picnicking masses back in time. Add a string of pearls, embellished caplet and a dapper gent in a double-breasted suit and prepare to Charleston on the dance floor.

OVERHEARD COURTSIDE: “I had to sort through, like, 1,000 photos last night, my boss was out till 4AM and is AWOL today.”  – one frustrated assistant overheard in line.

COLOR WHEEL: White, black, rust, grey, slate and blush.

BEATS: Penetrative percussion dance music mixed with a relaxed Charlie & The Chocolate Factory laced with Buddah Bar.

THE DOCKET: Wearable engagement party ready floaty dresses, simple separates and summer jackets were key in the label’s debut fashion week offering, which is sure to transport you from your local secret garden party pop-up to the shores of South Beach come spring.
