Creatures of Comfort’s latest offering appeared fit for the Stepford housewife that packed up and departed her white picket fenced McMansion in Connecticut for a brownstone in Dumbo after she caught her husband cheating with the nanny.

The show opened with a domestic Mad Men-inspired sleeveless top and knee-length matching skirt ensemble with a gingham print in a range of tawny hues.

Inspired by the modern day female adventurer, the collection was both feminine and whimsically romantic but exhibited a distinct urban edge, featuring a mix of slouchy jumpsuits, floaty dresses, breezy summer robes and sumptuous cozy knits.

Ensuring automatic entry to hipster status during the next drinks session at the Wythe Hotel were iconic Converse sneakers, which were worn throughout in addition to dark brown slides and funky strappy flats.

Exhibiting the label’s infamous quirky vibe were cowboy hats and cacti motifs, which matched the collection’s subdued color palette – a range of desert shades.

Comfort with an urban edge was key in the All-American label’s latest offering – a standout look was a white tank and relaxed-fit trousers ensemble peppered with cacti motifs.

From a mustard sleeveless trench to a pale blue cropped top to a buttoned-up dress or chunky knit vest, designer Jade Lai is sure to have aspiring cowboys/desert wanderers/Brooklyn hipsters everywhere clamoring for this covetable easy-to-wear collection.

Because everyone should own a functional sleeveless trench for spring.
