Cynthia Rowley F/W 2018 – Review
INSPIRED BY:Â Officially, designer Cynthia Rowley cited “the wild” as the inspiration behind her latest collection, from the concrete jungle to the great outdoors.
POP-CULTURE NOD: If dancewear label Bloch were to create a capsule collection for the New York City Ballet class of 2017 about to set off on a summer training camp in line with Paris Fashion Week.
WEAR IT TO: Grab cookies at the Momofuku Milk Bar pop-up after stocking up on your Rowley wardrobe at her adjacent Hampton’s outpost, before a night of dancing and psychic readings at the Girls Night Out fundraiser at Gurney’s Resort.
FIRST READ: Floaty party frocks featuring the designer’s signature prints, frilly silk maxi dresses and sequinned suiting conveyed a sense of classic femininity, while cropped sweaters in sorbet shades added a sporty vibe to the mix.
BEST LOOK:Â A cerulean blue mini dress with ruched balloon sleeves, worn with polka-dot socks and strappy blue heels.
EYE-CATCHING ACCENTS:Â Cropped sequin pants in blush and black, worn with a matching turtle-neck top and floral print wrap shirt.
COLOR WHEEL:Â Blush, mint, cream, black, red, white, champagne, lilac, mustard, peach.
