INSPIRED BY: A post-election clean slate. The notion of bucking the conventions of society and an ode to the perpetual non-conformity worshiped by the former club kid, the designers exhibited their collection of modern, relaxed looks on models and non-models alike.
POP-CULTURE NOD: Australian actress and model Ruby Rose behind the decks at The Blonds’ after-party at the Gramercy Park Hotel’s Rose Bar.
WEAR IT TO: The Endless Summer Party at Brooklyn’s risque burlesque venue, House of Yes.
FIRST READ: The brand delivered many of its signature looks via body-con and sundresses, denim pieces and patched knitwear. New to the foray this season were structured corporate ensembles, with androgynous suits and blazers catering to the former Marquee regular looking to hang up their glow sticks for a more conservative nine-to-five lifestyle.
BEST LOOK: A sleeveless lime sheer top with fly-away detailing, styled with a zip-front apricot pencil skirt and stacked white ankle boots.
