SHOW: Georgine
LOCATION: Skylight Clarkson Square
DATE: Feb.16
START TIME: 7PM + 20mins
BEHIND THE SCENES: Top Model’s Miss J. giving the side eye to his colleague after spotting one of the near-naked models roll their ankle in from of the photographer pit, Next Top Model’s Nigel Barker giving Miss J. a cheeky slap on the behind pre-show.
OFF PROBATION: The camel Merino wool sequined coat that shimmied past like a sea of rainbow-colored fairy floss, teamed with a matching corset skirt and chiffon blouse with skinny tie neck – this damsel was too smart to accept any poisonous apple from villainous temptresses walking later during the show!
GOOD BEHAVIOUR BOND: An emerald merino wool sweatshirt paired with a fern silver fox collar, paired with a city chic jacquard full circle skirt, pointed heels and black-out shades, the fitting addition to your camouflage wardrobe ahead of your descent into the Big Bad Wolf’s lair.
INSPIRED: By Kate Spade’s alter ego being lured to the dark side by sultry vixens in see-through lace offerings via the allure of a poisonous apple in the guise of a branded handbag. Glittery brainiacs in mink coats and velvet cocktail dresses were on hand to write-up the gothic fairytale.
POP CULTURE-NOD: Minetta Lane’s hot-and-heavy Snow White masterpiece and Emily Blunt’s wardrobe for the next installment of The Huntsman (or The DVP 2, no Kristen Stewart cameos here).
WEAR IT TO: The next dalliance with your favorite corporate frenemy or quiz night with the morally questionable philanthropic set. Either that or your next Halloween shindig as Ethan Hawke’s arm candy from Dead Poets Society.
OVERHEARD COURTSIDE: “You look so thin!” – Dorinda Medley complementing Kristen Taekman on her post-Housewives slimdown. “I literally don’t have any time in the day for Facebook this week.”
SPOTTED: Miss J., Dorinda Medley, Kristen Taekman, Peter and Harry Brant, Nigel Barker, Whitney Port, Selita Ebanks, Arden Cho, Andrew Werner, Derek Warburton.
COLOR WHEEL: Cotton candy neoprene, forest jacquards, midnight black and burnout velvet bark and poison black – all tipped into a simmering cauldron fitting for the queen wicked witch of the Upper East Side.
THE DOCKET: Making the schizophrenic descent from good to evil as sexy, chic and feminine as your next Brothers Grim book club session.
