INSPIRED BY: In their second show at the helm, design due Mark Thomas and Thomas Cawson reimagined the iconic ‘90s brand by playing tribute to the classics: minimalist tailoring, Aspen-ready, futuristic outerwear, classic suiting, and grungy leather looks.
POP-CULTURE NOD: Milla Jovovich grooming Karlie Kloss for her role as Leeloo in the remake of sci-fi thriller, The Fifth Element.
WEAR IT TO: Your first day as Fragrance Lab Technician at The Scentarium in Tribeca, then hanging up your whites and heading to a launch party at Goth hotspot Pyramid Club.
FIRST READ: Fans of the iconic brand were sure to be pleased by Thomas and Cawson’s decision to stick with the OG playbook: think cropped wool-blend double-breasted blazers and wrap-front straight-leg pants, plissé column maxi dresses, acid-wash denim with metal hardware, silk organza suiting, and leather military jackets, which played to the show’s utilitarian vibe. A spate of metallic mini skirts and neon separates elevated the collection into after-dark territory for the reformed club kid with a lingering wild side.
BEST LOOK: A white organza hooded parka with drawstring details and front-flap pockets, styled over a sheer button-down shirt and teamed with matching low-slung shorts, and strappy white sandals. Another standout was a monochromatic look featuring a pair of twill utility pants in neon yellow, worn with an asymmetric draped satin top.
EYE-CATCHING ACCENTS: Reflective square-frame sunglasses in collaboration with Berlin brand, MYKITA, pleated leather skirts with contrasting buckles at the waist, and suits with detachable pieces, capable of being styled multiple ways.
