Boss F/W 2018 – Review
INSPIRED BY:Â Sports tailoring and a summary of outgoing designer Jason Wu’s greatest hits at the helm of the German brand.
POP-CULTURE NOD:Â Heidi Klum taking a quick business meeting while on vacation with ex Seal and their kids in Aspen.
WEAR IT TO: Slip into some fondue and hot spiked drinks in a private alpine yurt in the Standard East Village’s Winter Garden.
FIRST READ: Designer Wu stayed true to the brand’s signature aesthetic via chunky knits, tailored suiting and menswear-inspired looks, which gave the show a minimalist feel, while athletic pullovers and silk dresses with flyaway detailing added a youthful, sportif vibe.
BEST LOOK:Â AÂ cobalt blue turtleneck sweater with zipper detailing, paired with plaid trousers, white heels and a matching bucket bag.
EYE-CATCHING ACCENTS: Statement zebra-print leather bags, zipper detailing, chunky parkas and button-up shirts with raw edges played to the brand’s street-style aesthetic.
OVERHEARD COURTSIDE:Â “Do you know who Wu’s replacement is? This feels like the end of an era.”
COLOR WHEEL:Â Cobalt blue, maroon, white, orange, navy, red, lemon.
