Jeffrey Dodd F/W 2018 – Review
INSPIRED BY: Psychedelia and the vividly abstract monochromatic works of Italian artist Paolo Scheggi.
POP-CULTURE NOD: Liz Hurley’s off-duty wardrobe while playing the role of secret agent Vanessa Kennsington in the latest installment of the shagadelic Austin Powers franchise.
WEAR IT TO: Browse the vintage vinyl selection curated by actor Adrian Grenier at VNYL, before lounging on the green velvet sofas under the frosted globe lights of the Champagne Room upstairs.
FIRST READ:Â Textured spiderweb fabric gave strappy sequinned cocktail dresses, camis and 70’s-style cigarette pants, which gave off a youthful, edgy vibe, while oversized blazers, denim jackets and a couple of Studio 54Â looks elevated the lineup from from casual daywear to nighttime-ready.
BEST LOOK: A Pucci-style sequinned tank featuring a squiggle print, teamed with black cigarette pants, a matching blazer and pointed heels.
EYE-CATCHING ACCENTS: Dodd featured a wavy Mod-style print throughout, giving the show a cohesive feel. He added jewelry to the mix via crescent-shaped silver disk earrings, while an indigo denim jacket added a casual vibe to the red carpet lineup.
OVERHEARD COURTSIDE:Â “I love this showroom space – it reminds me of Beyonce’s Love on Top video.”
COLOR WHEEL:Â Aqua, canary yellow, grey, teal, red, black, white.
