INSPIRED BY: Fake news, clickbait and the current deluge of deliberate disinformation or hoaxes spread via traditional print and broadcast news media or online social media. Designer Jeremy Scott took direct aim at those hours spent deep-diving down the Reddit rabbit hole.

WEAR IT TO: A Facebook Live video streaming in response to false allegations about your infidelity in The New York Post’s celebrity news site Page Six.
FIRST READ: Designer Jeremy Scott deviated from his knack for churning out pop culture-inspired mashups in an explosion of color in favor of a black-and-white lineup of glitzy minis, 80’s-style party frocks with layered tulle skirts, PVC trenches and sequin jackets. Snippets of buzzy news headlines and logos from New York’s daily rags were featured throughout, slapped across lace-up boots, leather clutches and tuxedo jackets, proving that there’s nowhere to hide from the 24/7 hyped-up news cycle.
BEST LOOK: A sleeveless party dress featuring layered tulle silk-screened in newsprint patterns, cinched at the waist with a trailing belt and styled with patterned opera gloves, grungy boots and an edgy top-handle bag.
EYE-CATCHING ACCENTS: Oversized sequin bows screamed Mini Mouse and added a ladylike edge to the sensory onslaught, while padded puffers and ostrich trim on sheer shifts added depth to looks that are sure to be staples on the street-style circuit come fall.
