INSPIRED BY: The idea of a deconstructed house, a notion influenced by John Elliott and women’s designer Cara Campagnoli’s realization of a shared history. The show’s warehouse location played to the Gothic, under-construction vibe, but no hard hat was required.
POP-CULTURE NOD: Newlyweds Hailey Baldwin and Justin Beiber catching an L.A. Lakers game before hitting the town with John Elliott’s unofficial brand ambassador, Scott Disick.
WEAR IT TO: Cheer on your favorites at the Red Bull WallRide skateboarding event in Venice Beach in California.
FIRST READ: The design teamed stayed true to the label’s knack for churning out easy-going L.A. staples with a sophisticated edge. Think hoodie-and-sweat combos with a minimalist edge in complementary colors capable of being styled multiple ways. New to the mix were double-breasted coats and distressed zip-up hooded jackets, while a reflective Caterpillar jacket seemed in compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Act.
BEST LOOK: A black racer tank, worn under a strappy silk floor-length dress and styled with men’s Nike sneakers.
EYE-CATCHING ACCENTS: Several new collaboration drops: brown and black sneakers under the Nike, LeBron James x John Elliott Icon, umbrella; an apparel team-up with Caterpillar, and jackets with Japanese companies, Descente and Blackmeans.
