INSPIRED BY: Photographer Ward Roberts’ colorful basketball court picture series. The designer cited light and breezy sportswear as key behind his latest collection.
POP-CULTURE NOD: The Sigma Gamma Rho sorority debutante attending a toga party staged outdoors at the iconic Parthenon in Greece.
WEAR IT TO: Front-row seats at the Knicks before catching some late-night acoustic jazz at the City Winery on the Hudson River.
FIRST READ: Deconstructed baseball-inspired shirt dresses were given a ladylike upgrade through lace detailing, while sheer ruffle dresses in a nude color palette elevated the suite of sportif looks from day to night.
BEST LOOK: A chestnut wrap top with cutaway detailing, worn with pants with side-snaps and a tie front.
EYE-CATCHING ACCENTS: The looks were styled with sneakers as part of Simkhai’s collaboration with Reebok, while strappy heels and gladiators were courtesy of Manolo Blahnik.
