INSPIRED BY: The energetic compositions of Berlin artist Stefan Hirsig and the frenetic tension of the techniques used in his works – namely his ‘Desastres VI’ painting.
POP-CULTURE NOD: Emma Stone as Jane Jetson walking Astro the dog on the set of ABC’s live-action reboot of the Hanna-Barbera space cartoon The Jetsons.
WEAR IT TO: Grab a mimosa with your personal tutor at the J.P.Morgan-founded Metropolitan Club on 60th St. after finding out you’ve been accepted to Harvard Law School.
FIRST READ: Ruffle-trim blouses, flounce dresses with flocked tulle, pleated crepe skirts and side-button dresses with illusion mesh were delivered in an array of ice-cream-inspired colors – think lilac, ivory and orchid.
BEST LOOK: A boatneck sleeveless sheer flocked-tulle gown with contrast magenta piping and an allover floral print.
EYE-CATCHING ACCENTS: A pair of color-changing gowns: A white, off-the-shoulder dress featuring paneled center pleats that turned purple as the model walked the runway, while sheer tulle midi dress with layered sleeves sported similar lilac pleats.
