INSPIRED BY: The resilience of a downtown New Yorker, designer Catherine Holstein delighted attendees with her trademark theatrical show, which was equal parts East Village biker chick and Soho gallery girl.
POP-CULTURE NOD: Carrie Bradshaw throwing a glamorous outfit together last minute before donning an oversized fur coat and beanie and heading to a NYE party in the midst of a raging snowstorm.

FIRST READ: Sequin mini dresses, oversized metallic silver leather trenches, sheer organza skirts with crystal embellishments worn under zip-up hoodies, athletic bomber jackets and bodycon dresses with bandage detail. The result? A collection sure to be a hit with Khaite’s devotee clientele.
BEST LOOK: A draped maxi dress in sand with sequin detail, worn under an oversized leather bomber jacket with a ribbed collar in khaki, styled with ivory leather pumps with a flared heel.
EYE-CATCHING ACCENTS: Multi-strap silk harnesses tied like bodices over shirts and cocktail dresses, bralette halterneck tops with back ties, calfskin pool slides with Velcro straps, and raffia totes with leather trim.
