Lela Rose NYFW F/W19 – Review

INSPIRED BY: Lela Rose’s infamous love of canine creatures, which resulted in her hosting a “Roseminster Dog Show” on the same afternoon as the official Westminster Dog Show in New York.
POP-CULTURE NOD: Charlotte York walking her Cavalier King Charles Spaniel around Central Park in the reboot of SATC.
WEAR IT TO: Your extravagant bridal shower at the Beverly Hills Hotel with 50 of your closest celebrity pals.
FIRST READ: Rose stayed true to her knack for churning out elegant eveningwear with a polished, British-inspired flair, while daywear looks included a silk suit covered in a black-and-white animal print featuring dachshunds, bulldogs, and Yorkshire terriers, styled with a black jacket with pearl detail. Keeping things light were fun A-line party frocks and off-the-shoulder gowns covered in floral gold embroidery.
BEST LOOK: A crimson knife-pleated full-length dresses, worn with a fuzzy pink coat. Also key was a statement long-sleeved ivory midi gown, which served as a nod to Rose’s bridal collection.
EYE-CATCHING ACCENTS: The set: think artificial turf, “Greyhound” cocktails, a white picket fence, score cards and category placards carried by modes, and the main stars of the show – the furry pups.
