INSPIRED BY: Designer Michelle Smith’s reaction to the post-election outlook. Titled, “Equality”, the collection focused on embracing femininity through chromatic dressing and a gave nod to unity, inclusiveness and individuality as a way to showcase women as strong and sexy.
POP-CULTURE NOD: Cat Deeley introducing the judges on episode one of the 15th series of So You Think You Can Dance.
WEAR IT TO: Spend the summer in the 18th-century mansion holding Soho House in the Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter, for 12 weeks of rainbow-hued cocktails and endless days whittled away at the beach or following in Gaudi’s footsteps around town.
FIRST READ: Strapless sequin gold gowns, faux fur coats and strapless silk jumpsuits played out in a kaleidoscope of monochromatic hues, keeping in tune with the brand’s reputation for delivering flirty looks with a youthful edge.
BEST LOOK:Â A yellow turtleneck, styled with a long skirt featuring iridescent paillettes, styled with strappy black heels.
EYE-CATCHING ACCENTS:Â The show closed with models lined up in a show of colorful solidarity, playing to the show’s unofficial theme. Shaggy fur coats and boyfriend blazers gave the show a 70’s feel, while bold, slinky silk dresses catered to the brand’s devotees.
OVERHEARD COURTSIDE:Â “Did you see Milly’s feminist tees at the brand’s pop-up store in Soho this winter?”
