INSPIRED BY: The dizzying style and glamor of socialite Babe Paley’s infamous soirées, Studio 54, and designer Naeem Khan’s early career as an apprentice at Halston.
POP-CULTURE NOD: Lauren Bacall, Philip Johnson, Katherine Graham and Princess Lee Radziwill slipping out to the Plaza Hotel for Truman Capote’s Black and White Ball.
WEAR IT TO: Site five-feet away from your former boyfriend at clubby Upper East Side Mortimer’s replacement, La Goulue, where you’ll rub shoulders with Sotheby’s directors and plastic surgeons to the stars alike.
FIRST READ: Vampy one-shoulder bodycon dresses, cowl-neck minis, and sheer cocktail gowns with fringed detail were followed by an array of sequined frocks in graphic prints, finishing with a splattering of red-carpet looks with full skirts and frilled capes.
