TOP INSTA LOOK: A pebble silk dress shirt with a deep-V neckline, worn under a floaty black smoking jacket and teamed with silver pointed flats.

BEHIND THE SCENES: Keeping in check with the designer’s decision to pare back the collection and focus on the basics were the show’s hair and makeup, which featured deep side parts to create slicked back looks, while dewy complexions gave off a fresh, youthful vibe.

OFF PROBATION: A strappy black silk cocktail dress, drenched in beaded embroidery – think Jennifer Lopez headed to covert cocktails with former beau Ben Affleck at Tao downtown.

GOOD BEHAVIOR BOND: A white cotton shirt dress, worn under a structured black trench with grey panels, styled with stacked black booties.

INSPIRED BY: Light and the distraction of white noise, the designer downsized the number of looks in his latest collection – and the show’s invite list – to better spotlight his suite of getups focusing on architectural proportions and intricate embroidering on evening gowns.

POP CULTURE-NOD: Michelle Obama exiting Air Force One in Buenos Aires after delivering a powerful address to a group of women and girls, before heading to an official state dinner for Argentine President Mauricio Macri where she then nails the tango with President Obama.

WEAR IT TO: Going head-to-head with your rival Vice President at Oppenheimer Investment Bank over the terms of co-underwriting agreement for an upcoming fashion house IPO, before heading over to Cipriani Wall Street to knock back several Negronis with your colleagues as you gloat about how you scored your firm an extra $2 million by outsmarting your opponent on the deal.

OVERHEARD COURTSIDE: “I know I’m going to eventually earn more than my boyfriend once I graduate, so I don’t know if I should just dump him now and save myself three years.”

SPOTTED: Jessica Alba, Sarah Slutsky, Alina Cho, Jessica Seinfeld, Sascha Seinfeld, Kate Lanphear, Mickey Boardman.

COLOR WHEEL: Black, mustard, silver, grey, beige, yellow, orange, gun metal.

THE DOCKET: Catering for the minimalist power broker in need of a wardrobe capable of seamlessly transitioning from the board room to happy hour, Rodriguez served up a series of sporty separates in a monochrome palette, capable of upsizing to gala-ready via the addition of a pair of Louboutins and a splash of bling.
