Nicholas K NYFW F/W19 – Review

INSPIRED BY: An architectural venture recently completed by design duo Nicholas and Christopher Kunz in upstate New York, namely the rugged surrounds of the eco-friendly shed and the brothers’ shared focus on sustainability.
POP-CULTURE NOD: Angelina Jolie as a fugative CIA officer fighting to prove her innocence after being accused of being a Russian spy in the 2010 thriller, Salt.
WEAR IT TO: Watch the sunset with a glass of  South African Sauvignon after a day of spotting wildlife at the five-star Matetsi Victoria Falls safari lodge in Zimbabwe – a 123,500-acre private-game concession with 17 miles of river frontage.
FIRST READ: The Kunz brothers served up an array of their signature separates – many with convertible options – including a reversible leather jacket with alpaca-wool lining, a layered denim dress with detachable pieces, and jumpsuits worn as pants or belted with the sleeves rolled up.
BEST LOOK: A v-neck cream maxi dress in stretchy jersey, styled with two metallic gold fanny packs worn like backpack straps and styled with white trainers.
EYE-CATCHING ACCENTS:
Cozy legwarmers gave a live-in feel to loungewear getups, while white sneakers and lace-up stacked heels showcased the collection’s ability to cater to day or night.
COLOR WHEEL: Cream, teal, khaki, black, gold, mauve, gray, caramel, brown.
