INSPIRED BY: The hedonistic 80’s, designer Nicole Miller dubbed her latest collection the “on-demand” setlist, based on requests for the relaunch of former fan favorites.
POP-CULTURE NOD: Amber Valletta grabbing brunch in the East Village after pulling an all-nighter at mega club Palladium on E 14th St.
WEAR IT TO: Dinner with Paris Hilton and Jeremy Scott to toast Italian editor Anna Dello Russo’s latest book, “AdR Book: Beyond Fashion,” at new Nolita foodie hot spot, Wayan.
FIRST READ: An ode to the 80’s, Miller trotted out twill coats and blazers covered in bold typeface and fastened with seat belt-style belts, while polka dots, camouflage, and leopard print on pantsuits, slip dresses and t-shirts add a DKNY urban feel to the mix.
BEST LOOK: A white tee with black piping worn under a varsity-esque bomber jacket and teamed with black drawstring mini shorts, strappy black sandals and a crucifix pendant necklace. Think Neve Campbell as Bonnie in The Craft.
