Pamella Roland NYFW F/W19 – Review

INSPIRED BY: Tiffany glass and stained glass, designer Pamella Roland favored a jewel-tone color palette in her lineup of red-carpet looks, complete with her trademark razzle-dazzle much-loved by the brand’s devotees.
POP-CULTURE NOD: Paris Hilton at Rihanna’s third annual Diamond Ball during September fashion week at Cipriani Wall Street.
WEAR IT TO: Sip champagne under the twinkling chandelier amid the low lighting at bar at the 1920s-influenced Provocateur hotel in Berlin.
FIRST READ: Roland makes no excuses for sticking to what she knows best: feminine cocktail frocks with beaded embellishments and sequined accents, this season with a greater focus on feather detail on sheer minis and bodycon nude gowns. Also key were a string of princess dresses in ballerina hues, with a spate of layered tulle dresses with beaded bodices closing the show, inspiring admiring gasps from the folks in the front row.
BEST LOOK: A sleeveless ball gown with a high-low hemline in layered tulle, featuring a feathered torso and matching whispy accents spliced throughout the full skirt.
EYE-CATCHING ACCENTS: The lineup catered to ever special occasion a client could hope for: think pretty prom dresses, demure after-dark looks, and dramatic showstoppers sure to turn heads on the red carpet.
SPOTTED IN THE FROW: Victoria Justice, Nicky Hilton, Lydia Hearst, Cristen Chin, Joy Corrigan, Zita Vass, Patricia Clarkson.
OVERHEARD COURTSIDE: “This makes me so excited to watching the Oscars at Soho House.”
COLOR WHEEL: Peach, purple, silver, black, white, navy, blue, gold, red, lavender, blush.
