PH5 NYFW F/W19 – Review
INSPIRED BY: Alice in Wonderland and the creation of a fantastical universe, designers Wei Lin and Mijia Zhang delivered an update on their trademark wavy hemline in the suiting their clientele clamor for.
POP-CULTURE NOD: Emma Roberts debuting a brunette bob while on a sunset stroll in Los Feliz before heading to dinner at Nice Guy in West Hollywood.
WEAR IT TO: Accompany your niece to the Manhattan Classic gymnastics event at Pier 94 before meeting a Tinder date for drinks at Apotheke downtown.
FIRST READ: Lin and Zhang’s signature suiting featuring contrasting wavy piping, athletic bike shorts featuring the brand’s logo, and bodycon midi dresses, which added a feminine vibe to the edge lineup. Also key were pretty chiffon dresses with a crinkled effect, worn over fitted skivvies and matching tights.
BEST LOOK: A navy menswear blazer with white trim, worn over a matching mini skirt and styled with sailor-inspired white tights and leather midi boots.
OVERHEARD COURTSIDE: “I didn’t think they could get more inventive than showing out of the back of a moving truck, but this Alice in Wonderland setup is incredible.”
