INSPIRED BY: The glitz and glamour of the 80’s, fused with the era’s gritty rock-and-roll aesthetic – think 1984’s Repo Man-meets-Footloose.
POP-CULTURE NOD: A six-hour stint in your sweats behind the pokies at the new Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City, before glamming-up to catch the eighties cover band opening for Third Eye Blind at the Etess Areana.
WEAR IT TO: An outdoor pajama party under the stars in London’s Richmond Park.
FIRST READ: The London-based husband-and-wife duo cited the need to show femininity through strength for the sake of their daughters as key behind their F/W18 offering, and the same desire was evident in their latest collection, which featured a swag of athletic, normcore looks with a distinct punk vibe, exemplified through a t-shirt featuring the phrase, “Daddy, who were the Stone Roses?”, in reference to the English rock band.
BEST LOOK: An orange sequined midi dress featuring tan lace detailing, styled with slouchy taupe boots.
