It’s a small price to pay for the bragging rights to all New Yorkers that you’ve stayed at arguable the city’s hippest and most luxurious boutique slice of heaven.

Upon entering the foyer – decked out in rich, traditionally Bohemian décor – you are overcome by the scent of musk, old world charm and…wealth.

Pause for a Bohemian Side Car heartstarter at the Rose Bar as your Louis Vuitton trunks miraculously disappear en route to your temporary decadent abode.

The elegant watering hole features art by Andy Warhol and is a favorite among the fash pack during fashion week.

Upon a previous visit, a certain individual might have spotted Miranda Kerr swirling a whisky in thigh-high black boots engaged in an intimate hand-holding session with someone other than Orlando Bloom – a year before the announced split.

Travelling solo on business isn’t a problem at this small bar – creative-type locals are often eager to strike up conversation and business ‘meetings’ are often done in the space’s sister hotspot Jade Bar.

The 184 oversized guest rooms – a rare luxury in Manhattan – are bathed in warm jewel tones and feature tapestry-covered chairs, leather-topped tables complete with a guide to the hotel’s art collection and furnishings custom designed by artist Julian Schnabel.

Velvet-upholstered head- and footboards add to the rooms’ decadent vibe, while happy hour is supersized through a dark  mahogany “English drinking cabinet” stocked with crystal glasses, liquor bottles and late-night treats.
