TOP INSTA LOOK: Cheeky cutaways and voluminous layering gave the collection a ‘90s power woman vibe, think the sort of getup Samantha Jones might don when pitching her case against her opponent to hotel magnate Richard Wright.

BEHIND THE SCENES: Inspired by the photographer Jackie Nickerson, makeup artist Diane Kendal favored a natural, Africa-inspired look, while hair stylist Anthony Turner sent models out onto the sidewalk on West 22nd St to dry their locks in the September sun.

OFF PROBATION: An off-the-shoulder black and white asymmetrical layered dress, styled with a thick black choker, platform strappy black flats and dangly white earrings.

GOOD BEHAVIOR BOND: A blue, yellow and black clingy tank midi-dress featuring geometrical patterning and black feather fringing, teamed with stacked white flats, oversized black statement earrings and a white triangular clutch.

INSPIRED BY: Primary colors, the energy of New York and the pulse of technology, laced with a tribal-influenced vibe.

POP CULTURE-NOD: Kate Beckinsale heading into Hollywood producer Joel Silver’s annual summer kick-off Memorial Day pool party in Los Angeles, armed with a PS13 snakeskin bag and copious amounts of memory on her iPhone to secretly record the latest intel on the truth behind the rumors surrounding Gwen’s faux relationship with Blake.

WEAR IT TO: The Rock Center Café at Rockefeller Center’s ‘Democracy Plaza’, where you’re free to sip on politically-themed cocktails as you watch the map of the United States turn red or blue on the ice rink outside from the coziness of your bipartisan $39-a-pop seat.

OVERHEARD COURTSIDE: “I can’t believe how many political references there’s been this fashion week, and we’re only at September!”

SPOTTED: Alexa Chung, Anna Wintour, Carine Roitfeld, Laura Love, Jen Brill, Vanessa Traina, Samantha Traina, Veronika Heilbrunner, Aymeline Valade, Fei Fei Sun, Elisabeth von Thurn und Taxis, Princess Deena Aljuhani Abdulaziz, Dasha Zhukova, Liya Kebede, Kelela, Hari Nef, India Salvour Menuez,

COLOR WHEEL: Red, navy, white, black, rust, powder blue, purple, grey, maroon, beige.

THE DOCKET: Designers Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez delivered an array of statement looks with a focus on geometry and voluminous layering, playing with bold primary colors to create youthful, power-hungry getups just as equally suited to the wardrobe of the next intern on Capitol Hill as the political reporter covering the election at the Times, while meeting with a source over cocktails at the Hudson Hotel.
