Qasimi LFWM S/S19 – Review
INSPIRED BY: Archaeology guides and the global jet-setting lifestyle – think luxury nomad-meets-Byron Bay surfer.

WEAR IT TO: A 21-day intensive Ayurvedic detox program at the Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Landaa Giravaaru, before heading to L.A. to audition for a spot in Indiana Jones 5.
FIRST READ: Designer Khalid Qasimi cited the depth and breadth of human relationships and a nod to romanticism as key behind his latest collection, which featured oversized blazers, windbreakers and bomber jackets in parachute fabric and in neutral hues, pairing hippie separates with tailored pieces as suited to the boardroom as a tent under the stars.
BEST LOOK: A gingham shirt in brown and orange, worn with matching shorts and a cream blazer, styled with an oversized hobo bag and Balenciaga-esque sneakers.
EYE-CATCHING ACCENTS: Drawstring ties and detailing on bags reminiscent of handwoven friendship bracelets, patchworking on jackets, tribal beaded necklaces and Bedouin prints walked in line with the show’s desert glamping vibe.
OVERHEARD COURTSIDE: “This makes me want to see a reboot of the Matrix, but set in a futuristic version of Dubai.”
COLOR WHEEL: Khaki, grey, navy, tan, red, mustard, crimson, yellow, sage, orange, cream.
