TOP INSTA LOOK: A silver sequin jacket worn over a white t-shirt, paired with bubblegum pink jeans and an oversized reflective visor, worn throughout.

BEHIND THE SCENES: A model joking about the occupational safety hazard of his oversized cape, which assumed a life of its own amid the gusty summer winds.

OFF PROBATION: A black and blue striped sequin bomber jacket with satin sleeves, styled over a sheer black tank and teamed with matching knee-length shorts and black sneakers – less functional and more designed to facilitate your transition from happy hour to the V.I.P. section of hotspot Up & Down.

GOOD BEHAVIOR BOND: A white tank emblazoned with “Make the Impossible Possible” in pink, worn with drop-crotch black slouchy pants and a floaty cape in deep purple, blue and magenta.

INSPIRED BY: Named, ‘Life’, Secco cited the sacredness of the island of Holbox, located off the northeast coast of the Yucatan Peninsula, as a key influence behind the collection. Mexican culture and the pulse of New York City was also a driving force, while the designer paid homage to the endangered American flamingo, Carey Turtle and sea cow, in a celebration of all living species. “This city’s culture shapes our understanding of our nature and the future”, Ricardo said of the lineup. “Take a look at what Mother Nature has given us. Without nature, there is no us; there is no life.”

POP CULTURE-NOD: Think the sort of getup Jaden Smith might wear on an urban safari while on a month-long creative trip in Hawaii.

WEAR IT TO: The opening concert of French due Daft Punk’s 25-show international tour, which kicks off at Coachella.

OVERHEARD COURTSIDE: “This is by far the most cohesive collection I’ve seen all season.”

SPOTTED: Neiman Marcus Senior Vice President and Fashion Director, Ken Downing.

COLOR WHEEL: Powder pink, baby blue, lilac, flamingo feathers, whale shark skin prints, sandy yellow, grey and black.

BEATS: Swedish house beats courtesy of Hotel Americano’s resident DJ.

THE DOCKET: Futuristic poolside fashion for the sneakerhead with a sartorial eye. Think oversized silhouettes, cheeky bikers jackets, drop-crotch pants and reflective visors, ready for the operation of heavy machinery in between cocktails.
