OFF PROBATION: The money shot was unequivocally Khalil’s final wedding gown, an off-the-shoulder cap-sleeve bridal dress with a full skirt, covered in beading and floral embroidery, topped off with an Italian organza veil, also peppered with feathers and pretty floral motifs. GOOD BEHAVIOUR BOND: A lilac sheer lace floor-length cocktail gown with a train and soft feathers adorning the sleeves and chest. Catering to a more casual happy hour were sheer black cocktail dresses embellished with solid silver brush strokes keeping the looks ladylike.
INSPIRED: By romance on steroids, the sort of run through you might see in a race between Kim K and Beyonce to create the world’s most decadent and luxurious gown.
POP CULTURE-NOD: Think the sort of frock Kylie Jenner might have worn – of the sheer variety – had brother Rob not beaten her to the punch with the double whammy of an engagement and bub on the way. While she’s since cut ties with the much-older boy-next door Tyga, there’s every chance sister Kim could nab one of exquisite creations for marriage number four.
WEAR IT TO: Any event other the Eurovision grand finale (Khalil just dressed the runner-up, Dami Im) – just make sure you have your assistant discretely contact Sydney Confidential or Page Six beforehand. Think Delta Goodram at the ARIA Awards, Kate Ritchie at the Logies, Guiliana Rancic at the Grammys or Rebecca Judd in a full skirt all the way through her latest pregnancy.
OVERHEARD COURTSIDE: “Which season of his did you get married in?” – seat neighbors trading notes about their choice of Khalil wedding gowns.

THE DOCKET: Designed for the woman that’s always the bridesmaid, never the bride, Khalil’s latest collection catered for females at all stages of the relationship trajectory (or their ascension up the Logies guest list circuit). Judging by the amount of AFL/NFL WAGS in the front row, there is likely to be a cat fight among the fillies vying for pieces ahead of awards season (Boozy Brownlow, here’s looking at you) with many already sporting a small fortune’s worth of the designers’ beloved signature pieces in their Carrie Bradshaw-inspired walk-in wardrobes.
